Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy differs from other forms of psychotherapy in at least one important feature: it enables the client to suspend the conscious "critical faculty", permitting direct communication to and from the unconscious mind. A 'rapport' may be established at an unconscious level, based on mutual trust and co-operation, allowing long-repressed negative experiences to ascend into conscious awareness. Sensitively handled, these can be released, so that the client is free to create and develop new Behaviour patterns, unhindered by the handicaps of past psychological and emotional "baggage".
One of the advantages of hypnotherapy is that, frequently, its benefits are obtained much more speedily than other psychotherapeutic interventions. Progress is, of course, dependent on the nature, longevity and severity of the problem (and the client's personality), but much of the time needed to deal with these issues is by-passed using hypnosis.
Throughout her long professional career, Judy has been fortunate in many respects. She has received training and support from some of the top experts, internationally, in the field. Recognising the need to keep up with on-going developments in her areas of speciality, she has made a point of refining her skills alongside the latest innovations. Perhaps most importantly, Judy has learned from the hundreds of people who have sought her help.
As she has said: "A lot of my work involves helping the client to recognise what (s)he already knows at an unconscious level. It is a fascinating, immensely satisfying, healing process, unique to each individual, and I feel privileged to be a part of it".
